No. 10 Texas A&M managed just four hits off five Texas Tech pitchers as the Red Raiders defeated Texas A&M, 14-5, before 5,028 fans at Olsen Field.

With the loss, the Aggies dropped to 23-6 overall and to 3-3 in Big 12 play. The Red Raiders improved to 17-9 and 1-2.

Texas Tech took the lead, 2-0, in the top of the first when Josh Brady hit a two-run homer off Texas A&M starting pitcher Justin Moore. The dinger was the ninth of the season for Brady.

The Red Raiders chased Moore with two outs in the second after pushing across four more runs on four hits. Cameron Blair, Jose Delgado, Michael Mask and Brady all had RBI in the inning.

Moore (3-2) lasted just 1.2 innings and allowed six runs on six hits.

A&M scored its first run of the game in the bottom of the second. Cory Patton walked and scored when Craig Stinson's single to left skidded under the glove of Mask and rolled to the wall.

Tech answered the A&M run with three of their own in the top of the third off reliever Kyle Marlatt. Blair and Delgado drove in runs with singles and Blair scored on a balk to run Tech's lead to 9-1.

Erik Schindewolf slammed a two-run homer in the bottom of the third to chip away at the Tech lead.

After Schindewolf's homer, his second of the season, Tech starter Michael McGowan walked Cliff Pennington and Austin Boggs and was replaced by Corey Gerstner.

McGowan threw 2.1 innings, allowing three runs on three hits and did not receive the decision.

An RBI triple by Dallas Braden and an RBI double by Cody Fuller stretched the Tech lead to 11-3 in the top of the sixth.

The Red Raiders added two runs in the seventh and another in the ninth, while the Aggies pushed across one in the seventh and eighth.

Corey Gerstner (1-0) threw 4.1 innings of relief to earn the win. He allowed just one run on one hit and retired 13 men in a row from the third to the seventh innings.

The Aggies return to action on Tuesday, March 30, when they play Texas State. First pitch is set for 7 p.m. at the Dell Diamond in Round Rock, Texas. A live video stream will be available to Aggie Ultimate Access subscribers.
