
Aggies Ranked No. 23 in 2005 Preseason Poll

The Texas A&M softball team was ranked No. 23 in the 2005 ESPN.com/USA Softball Preseason Poll released Tuesday.
The Aggies return seven starters and two pitchers from a team that advanced to its third consecutive NCAA Regional last season.
California, last year's national runner-up took the top spot followed by perennial power Arizona, UCLA, Oklahoma and Stanford, rounding out the top five.
The Aggies open their season February 4 at the Aggie Softball Complex when they take on North Texas at 3 p.m.
