Texas A&M (34-12, 14-4 SEC) scored nine runs in the second inning to overcome a 6-0 deficit, then added an insurance run in the fourth to hold off Mississippi State (34-14, 6-12 SEC). The Aggies matched a season high with 15 hits, led by Paislie Allen's career day. Allen went 3-for-3 with three RBI, while Mya Perez added a home run and a team-high four RBI.
Sidne Peters (13-4) earned the win, striking out three over 5.0 innings of relief to close out the game. Taylor Pannell added 1.1 scoreless innings in middle relief with one strikeout and three walks.
Texas A&M fell behind early, allowing six runs on four hits and four free passes in the opening frame.
Ol' Sarge's charges responded with a nine-run second inning, highlighted by two home runs, including Perez's grand slam and Allen's two-run shot.
The Aggies opened the inning with three straight singles to load the bases before Kennedy Powell drove in the first run with an RBI single. Tallen Edwards followed with a walk to make it 6-2. Perez then cleared the bases with a 259-foot blast to tie the game. Micaela Wark drew a walk and was replaced by pinch runner Annsley Groce, who moved to third on consecutive wild pitches. Kelsey Mathis followed with an RBI single, and Allen capped the inning with a 248-foot two-run homer to give A&M a 9-6 lead.
After a scoreless third, the Aggies added a run in the fourth. Mathis led off with a double, advanced to third on a wild pitch and scored on Allen's RBI bunt single to extend the lead to 10-6.
The Bulldogs rallied in the seventh, scoring three runs on four hits, but Peters induced a flyout to secure the 10-9 win.

Texas A&M travels to South Carolina for a three-game set beginning Friday at 6 p.m., followed by game two on Saturday at 2 p.m. and the series finale on Sunday at 12 p.m. The first game will broadcast nationally on ESPN 2, while the two final games can be streamed on SEC Network+.
