Parker Dalton and Kyle Colligan each had two hits on a windy Saturday afternoon, but No. 5 Nebraska blanked the Aggies, 6-0, at Haymarket Park.
With the loss, the Aggies dropped to 19-20 overall and to 3-12 in Big 12 play. The Huskers improved to 28-5 and 10-2.
Nebraska starter Johnny Dorn (6-2) pitched a complete-game shutout. He scattered eight hits, struck out seven and did not allow a free pass.
The Huskers took the lead in the bottom of the third with a run off A&M starter Kyle Thebeau. Bryce Nimmo walked, stole second and scored on a one-out single up the middle by Ryan Wehrle.
A three-run home run by Jeff Christy in the bottom of the fifth gave the Huskers a 4-0 lead and chased Thebeau from the game.
Thebeau (3-5) lasted 4 1/3 innings and allowed four runs on seven hits. He struck out six and walked two.
RBI singles by Steve Edlefson and Jake Mort in the sixth earned the Huskers a 6-0 lead.
After completion of the seventh inning, the skies opened and the two teams endured a 25-minute rain delay.
