
Scarborough Earns Academic Honors

Texas A&M softball player Amanda Scarborough was named to the 2006 CoSida ESPN The Magazine Academic Softball University Division All-District Team, the publication announced.
Scarborough, a sophomore from Magnolia, Texas, helped lead the nationally ranked Aggies to their fifth consecutive NCAA postseason appearance while earning All-Big 12 and Academic All-Big 12 first-team accolades.
In the circle for A&M, Scarborough earned a 15-11 record, fanning 136 batters in 158.2 innings of work while allowing just 54 walks. At the plate she hit .305 while pounding out, a team leading, 13 doubles, along with five home runs and 37 RBI.
