
Carter Leads Athletes in Action Into Jones Cup Finals

Texas A&M's Josh Carter scored 20 points with eight rebounds to lead Athletes in Action to an 88-74 victory on Saturday at the 28th William Jones Cup at the Taipei Physical Education Gym.
The American team will play host Taiwan, which upset top-seeded Qatar, in the championship game on Sunday.
New Mexico's Tony Danridge added 17 points and 11 rebounds, while Kansas' Christian Moody (14), Belmont's Boomer Herndon (11), and A&M's Dominique Kirk (10) also scored in double figures.
AIA out rebounded Korea, 44-30 and led by as many as 19 points in the fourth quarter.
"We played hard, but our rebounding helped as did our defense," Carter said.
Earlier on Saturday, AIA beat Kazakhstan, 84-74. Carter scored 12 points and Kirk had 11, with each adding four steals.
