Luke Anders went 4-for-5 with two doubles, a home run and three RBI, and every Texas A&M starter had at least one hit as the No. 9 Aggies defeated Florida, 13-5, before 4,154 fans at Olsen Field.

The Aggie offense tied a season high with 18 hits. Blake Stouffer and Parker Dalton each had three hits and Darby Brown and Kyle Colligan had two knocks apiece. Ben Feltner legged out a bunt single in the second to extend his hitting streak to 15 games.

A&M scored five runs in the second to chase Florida starter Stephen Locke (2-2). The big blow of the inning was a three-run homer by Kyle Colligan.

?A lot of times when you go out and score a bunch of runs early, the game can get away from you and you lose focus,? A&M head coach Rob Childress. ?We kept our focus all day and getting 18 hits will only give our offense more confidence.?

With the win, A&M improved to 17-2 while Florida dropped to 9-9. The Aggies will try for the series sweep Sunday at noon.

Florida responded to A&M?™s big second inning with three runs in the top of the third off A&M starter Kyle Thebeau. An RBI double by Cole Figueroa and a two-RBI single by Austin Pride did the damage and cut the A&M lead to 5-3.

A&M answered with two runs in the third and three more in the fourth to virtually put the game out of reach.

The Aggies scored their last three runs via the long ball. Stouffer hit his third homer of the year, a solo shot in the seventh, and Anders belted his first of the year, a two-run bomb in the eighth, to finish the scoring for the game.

Thebeau (2-0) lasted 6 1/3 innings, allowing five runs on seven hits. He struck out five and walked four.

Aggies?™ reliever Scott Migl pitched the final 2 2/3 innings and did not allow a run.
