
Carter, Jones, Jordan Earn Big 12 Honors

Texas A&M?™s Josh Carter and Joseph Jones have been named honorable mention All-Big 12 and DeAndre Jordan as selected to the Big 12 All-Rookie Team in the 2007-08 Phillips 66 All-Big 12 Men?™s Basketball Awards. The official All-Big 12 awards are selected by the league?™s head coaches, who were not allowed to vote for their own players.
Kansas State freshman Michael Beasley was named Big 12 Player and Freshman of the Year, the second consecutive year a freshman has won both accolades from the Big 12. Defensive Player of the Year was won by Oklahoma State?™s Marcus Dove, who shared the award last season. Missouri junior DeMarre Carroll was named the Newcomer of the Year, and Kansas?™ S sophomore Sherron Collins captured the Sixth Man Award. Texas ?' Rick Barnes is the Big 12 Coach of the Year.
Carter led the Aggies in scoring with a 12.5 average while Jones was second at 10.6.
