RICHMOND, Va. - Texas A&M sophomore Nick Fleece earned more recognition on Wednesday as he was named collegebaseballinsider.com's National Player of the Week, the organization announced.

Fleece picked up two wins and two saves in the Aggies' perfect 4-0 week, one which saw all four games decided by three runs or less. The Fort Worth native picked up the win last Tuesday against UT Arlington, saves on Friday and Sunday against Kansas and the victory on Saturday against the Jayhawks.

He held opposing hitters to an .053 average (1-for-19) in 6 1/3 shutout innings of relief, with the only hit being an infield single. He allowed just one of the final 19 batters faced to reach base and stranded six inherited runners.

Fleece was tabbed the Phillips 66 Co-Big 12 Pitcher of the Week on Monday and named to the College Baseball Foundation's National All-Star Lineup on Tuesday.

The 10th-ranked Aggies (19-9, 6-3 Big 12) take a six-game win streak on the road this weekend to Lubbock to face the Texas Tech Red Raiders (12-17, 4-5). Game one of the series is set for Friday at 6:35 p.m.
