- Wide receiver Brandal Jackson became the second true freshman to post a 100-yard receiving game this season for the Aggies with 118 yards on four catches. It was the No. 3 receiving game by a true freshman in school history. The other A&M freshman with a 100-yard game was Uzoma Nwachukwu (3 for 101 vs. Utah State).
- Quarterback Jerrod Johnson posted the third 300-yard passing game of the season, which matches the school record for single season 300-yard games with Dustin Long in 2002. It was Johnson's fifth career 300-yard game, which is also a school record.
- Johnson's 58 pass attempts against Arkansas tied for the second-most in school history behind only the 64-attempt game by Branndon Stewart against Colorado in 1996.
- Johnson has now thrown 169 passes without an interception in 2009. His complete INT-free streak which dates back to the 2008 Baylor contest was extended to 186 consecutive.
- Texas A&M came into the game as the national leader in sacks with an average of 4.7 per game, and were able to get to Arkansas' Ryan Mallett twice to bring their season total of 16, which is the number of sacks posted by the Aggies for the complete 2008 season.
- Although the Aggies still won the turnover battle (3-2), A&M was uncharacteristically loose with the football against the Hogs with three fumbles, including two that were recovered by Arkansas. A&M came into the game with just one turnover (on a lost fumble) in the first three games.
- National sack leader Von Miller was limited to one sack for the game, which came on a third-down stop on Arkansas' first offensive series. Miller finished the game with four tackles, including two tackles for loss of yardage and one sack.
- Sophomore Lionel Smith had 153 kickoff return yards on seven returns, which ranks No. 5 in school history in single kickoff return yardage.
- The 47-yard field goal by sophomore Randy Bullock was the longest by an Aggie since 2001 when Cody Scates booted a 48-yarder against Baylor.
- Today's crowd of 71,872 was A&M's largest non-conference crowd away from Kyle Field since the Texas A&M-Clemson game drew a crowd of 80,000 in Death Valley.
- Game captains were senior Jordan Pugh, and sophomores Garrick Williams, Ken Wood and Cyrus Gray.
- The 12th Man was Derek Dumas, a junior from Crawford, Texas. It was the fourth 12th Man assignment of his career.
