
Aggies To Host NCAA Tennis Selection Show Watch Party

COLLEGE STATION, Texas - Aggie fans are invited to join the Texas A&M men's and women's tennis teams for an NCAA Selection Show watch party to be held on Tuesday, May 4, at Jason's Deli located at 1460 Texas Ave South in College Station.
Both teams will gather at the venue around 3:30 p.m. (CT) as the announcement of the 2010 NCAA Division I Men's and Women's Tennis Championship brackets will be televised live on ESPNEWS at 4 p.m. (CT). ESPNEWS is located on DirecTV Channel 207 and Dish Network Channel 142 for fans who cannot attend the viewing in person.
Free snacks and refreshments will be available at the event and fans are encouraged to wear maroon.
The A&M men, ranked No. 10 nationally in the Campbell/ITA rankings, are expected to make their 17th-straight NCAA Tournament appearance since 1994 and 18th overall in program history. The Aggies have compiled an impressive 23-5 overall record under fourth-year head coach Steve Denton and assistant coach Bob McKinley. They finished second in the final Big 12 Conference standings for the second consecutive season.
The Aggie women, ranked No. 37 in the nation, are looking to make their 11th consecutive and 16th overall NCAA Tournament appearance under 25th-year head coach Bobby Kleinecke and assistant coach Mark Weaver. A&M is 14-9 overall on the season and reached the Big 12 semifinals for the 11th-straight year.
First-and second-round competition will be played from May 14-16 at 16 selected host sites across the country. The winners from each of the 16 sites will advance to the team championship to be held on May 20-25 at the Dan Magill Tennis Complex on the University of Georgia campus in Athens, Ga.
