COLLEGE STATION, Texas - The ITA Summer Circuit concluded with the men's singles championship and consolation finals today at Texas A&M's George P. Mitchell Tennis Center.
A&M's Kayvon Karimi won the consolation singles title as opponent Jake Hendrie withdrew with an injury trailing 6-1, 4-0 to the senior from Dallas. After suffering a three-set loss in the Round of 64, Karimi reached the consolation finals by defeating Billy Bishop, 6-3, 6-4, Devin Harley, 6-2, 7-5, and Rob Lambeth, 6-4, 6-2.
No. 4 seed Danny Whitehead won the men's singles tournament, defeating No. 7 seed Jonathan Chang, 4-6, 7-5, 10-3.
