Silva Named to SEC Community Service Team
Apr 09, 2026 | Men's Tennis
BIRMINGHAM – Texas A&M's Ethan Silva was named to the SEC Community Service Team for men's tennis, the league announced Thursday.
A two-time honoree, Silva has been helping out the community of Bryan-College Station since he transferred to Texas A&M in 2024. Silva has served over 15 hours at the Aggieland Humane Society, where he assists in keeping the pets physically and mentally fit until they are ready to be adopted. The senior also frequently visits local elementary schools and spends time reading books to the children so that they understand the significance of education from a young age.
The Harlingen, Texas native also serves as Vice President of Student-Athlete Experience on the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. Through this committee, he encourages other athletes at Texas A&M to share their experiences while advocating for their welfare. Another part of the committee is the Selfless Service Ambassador Program, where they encourage all athletes to participate in community service.
The Aggies conclude the regular season Sunday at 1 p.m. versus Oklahoma, where he will be a part of the senior day recognition.
