IRVING, Texas--Nine nationally televised games highlight the Big 12 portion of Texas A&M's men's basketball schedule, released by the league office on Tuesday.
The Aggies begin conference play on Saturday, Jan. 8 at Oklahoma, then host Oklahoma State in the Big 12 home opener at Reed Arena on Wednesday, Jan. 12.
Additional home league tilts are against Missouri (Saturday, Jan. 15), Kansas State (Saturday, Jan. 22), Texas (Monday, Jan. 31), Baylor (Saturday, Feb. 5), Iowa State (Wednesday, Feb. 16), Oklahoma (Wednesday, Feb. 23) and the regular-season finale against Texas Tech (Saturday, March 5).
Before wrapping up the regular season against the Red Raiders , A&M will play five of seven on the road, including trips to Texas Tech (Saturday, Feb. 12) and Oklahoma State (Saturday, Feb. 19), and back-to-back road games at Baylor (Saturday, Feb. 26) and Kansas (Wednesday, March 2).
The Aggies will face the Longhorns in the first meeting of the State Farm Lone Star Showdown on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at the Erwin Center in Austin.
Overall, 14 of A&M's 16 league contests will be televised, with additional selections possible in the coming weeks. Additionally, two of the Aggies' non-conference games were picked up for broadcast. The Dec. 11 game with Washington at Reed Arena, part of the Big 12/Pac-10 Hardwood Series, will tip at 3:30 p.m. and air on ESPN2. A&M's game against Arkansas on Dec. 18 at the American Airlines Center in Dallas will be televised by ESPNU and start at 6 p.m.
Matchups for the Old Spice Classic, Thanksgiving weekend in Orlando, will be released later this week. Additional television info will be posted once official on aggieathletics.com.
