GUADALAJARA, Mexico - The track and field portion of the Pan American Games began on Sunday and will continue through this weekend. A pair of athletes associated with the Texas A&M program, Bryan Miller and Noah Bryant, will represent the United States.
Miller, a 10-time All-American and a member of the Aggie 4 x 400 relay that captured four NCAA titles in the past two years, will run on the 1,600-meter relay for the United States. Bryant, a volunteer assistant with the Aggies, will contest the shot put.
Bryant will be in action first with the shot put final set for Tuesday afternoon at the Telmex Athletics Stadium. Miller will run in the men's 4 x 400 relay on Friday, Oct. 28.
Action from the Pan American Games is available through ESPN2, ESPN Deportes and ESPN3.com.
Miller last represented the United States during the World Junior Championships held in Poland during the summer of 2008. He ran the second leg of the U.S. 4 x 400 relay which captured gold in a time of 3:03.86.
