COLLEGE STATION, Texas—Baton Rouge native Zach Kinsley has joined the Texas A&M basketball program and will be eligible to play his senior season for the Aggies beginning this fall, head coach Billy Kennedy announced Monday.
Kinsley comes to A&M after spending his first two years at LSU and his junior campaign at the University of New Orleans, which is in the midst of transitioning to an NCAA Division II athletics program.

He played his first two collegiate seasons at LSU, appearing in all 31 games in 2010. Kinsley earned a start in the NIT Season Tip-Off consolation game against Arizona State at Madison Square Garden, scoring a season-high 14 points.
The son of Fred and Patti Kinsley, Zach was a three-time all-state selection at Saint Michael the Archangel High School in Baton Rouge. He has two older brothers, Ryan and Josh.
