The No. 6 Texas A&M women's swimming and diving team will take on two meets in two days as they travel to the University of Houston for a dual meet Friday and host the University of North Texas Saturday at the Student Recreation Natatorium in College Station.

The Aggies, 4-1 in dual meets this season, are coming off of a dual meet win over LSU on Jan. 21 as they travel to face the Cougars first in Houston, Texas and host the Mean Green.

With just a few weeks before the championship season, A&M Head Coach Steve Bultman said the back to back meets are scheduled for a reason.

“The scheduling is designed to prepare our girls for the championship meets, which can go over several days,” Bulman said. “We do it on purpose to get the girls ready for the intensity of the championship season.”

Sophomore swimmer Cammile Adams and senior diver Jaele Patrick lead the A&M charge, as they both are coming off of Big 12 Swimmer and Diver of the Week honors.

Patrick won both of her boards at the LSU meet, with a first place finish on both the 1-meter (332.35) and the 3-meter (369.50) springboard events. Adams was productive as well, taking 5 individual wins spanning over four days in both a dual met versus SMU and the Austin Grand Prix in Austin, Texas.

The Aggies' home meet against North Texas will be Senior Night for the eight A&M senior swimmers and divers on the squad.

Seniors Alyssa Conner, Anna Heller, Megan Latone, Rita Medrano, Megan Onstott, Jaele Patrick, Janie Potvin and Jo Thibodeaux will be honored before the meet Saturday.

“It's always a big deal when you graduate seniors,” Bultman said. “It's amazing how quickly time went, I bet they could tell you how it flies by. They have all done very god things for our team and we will find it hard to replace them.”

In Houston, the Aggies get things started at 7 p.m. on Friday while action will start at 1 p.m. in College Station against the Mean Green on Saturday.
