Aggies Remain Unbeaten, Take Down No. 10 Gonzaga

PARADISE ISLAND, Bahamas (AP)-- Danuel House scored 19 points, and No. 25 Texas A&M edged No. 10 Gonzaga 62-61 on Thursday to advance to the championship game of the Battle 4 Atlantis.
The Zags' Silas Melson missed a fadeaway jumper at the buzzer as time expired with House contesting the shot.
Tonny Trocha-Morelos added 14 points for the Aggies (6-0).
The game was tight throughout, with 12 ties and seven lead changes.
Gonzaga (3-1) led for much of the game but missed some key free throws down the stretch. After making six 3-pointers in the first half, the Zags connected on just three in the second.
Kyle Wiltjer led Gonzaga with 18 points. Josh Perkins added 15.
Gonzaga plays the loser of the matchup between UConn and Syracuse in the third-place game Friday.

? Texas A&M used the starting lineup combination of Anthony Collins, Alex Caruso, Danuel House, Tonny Trocha-Morelos and Tyler Davis for the sixth time this season (6-0).

? Senior Danuel House led all scorers with 19 points, converting 6-of-9 field goal chances and 5-of-6 free throw attempts … House has now reached double-digit scoring in 25 of 32 games at Texas A&M.
? Sophomore Tonny Trocha-Morelos came up big for the Aggies, contributing 14 points on 5-of-6 shooting, including a perfect 4-of-4 mark from 3-point range that featured a long-range jumper as time expired in the opening half and a trio of second-half treys.
? Senior Alex Caruso enjoyed a solid all-around performance, contributing eight points, five assists and three steals … Caruso's outing gave him 211 career steals during his four-year Texas A&M tenure, moving past former A&M standout Todd Holloway (1983-87) into sole possession of second place on the all-time list.
? Texas A&M head coach Billy Kennedy improved to 77-61 in his fifth season at Texas A&M and 288-240 in 18 seasons as head coach.
