
Women's Basketball To BTHO Breast Cancer On Feb. 22

Texas A&M women's basketball has announced that the 3 p.m. game on Sunday, February 22 against Florida is the annual BTHO Breast Cancer game, presented by College Station Medical Center and KAGS, with proceeds benefiting Play 4 Kay, and the Pink Alliance. T-Shirts are on sale now, and 100% of the proceeds benefit the fund.
The Aggies will wear pink-and-white jerseys for the Feb. 22 contest, with Assistant Coach Bob Starkey and wife Sherie donating $1 to the Pink Alliance for each student in attendance, with a goal of having 1,000 students in attendance. Fans can check out the special promotional poster, highlighting breast cancer survivor Sherie Starkey, the wife of Texas A&M assistant coach Bob Starkey, and several Texas A&M players, which are available at the game on February 22nd.
Halftime will include a special recognition of breast cancer survivors and individuals currently battling the disease. Folks attending the game who wish to participate should contact Casey Doyle at cdoyle@athletics.tamu.edu.
In addition, there will be an opportunity for a fan to win $5,000 by making a half-court shot, presented by Pepsi.
