COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The Aggie men's basketball team drew recognition as the 22nd -ranked team in the nation on Wednesday as Blue Ribbon College Basketball Yearbook announced its annual preseason Top 25 poll.
Texas A&M stood out as one of three squads from the SEC in the rankings, following Kentucky, which appeared as the top-ranked team in the poll for the second consecutive season, and Vanderbilt, which checked in at No. 14.
The Aggies are poised for a strong season in 2015-16, returning a trio of seniors in Alex Caruso, Danuel House and Jalen Jones, who each garnered All-SEC recognition from various media outlets after helping the team capture 21 wins and earned a berth in the NIT last season.
Additionally, the A&M senior class will gain the experience of Anthony Collins who transferred to Aggieland after drawing 98 starting assignments in 101 games played at South Florida.
In addition to the outstanding senior class, A&M returns three players –Tavario Miller, Alex Robinson and Tonny Trocha-Morelos – who played in at least 25 games last season and are poised to take another step forward on the court. The Aggies' roster will also be boosted by the arrival of a much-heralded recruiting class, which is regarded by many as the best in school history and is ranked as a consensus top-10 group by all the major recruiting services.

Following an exhibition contest against Texas A&M-International on Nov. 6, Texas A&M will officially christen the new campaign on its home court Nov. 13 when the team welcomes USC-Upstate to College Station.
