Thoughts on today's match….
I was pleased with our level today, we were considerably better than we were last week. Our guys were dialed in and focused, these are tricky matches because you are playing teams that you don't know as well. They are coming here looking for the upset, we lost to Fresno a couple years ago in the Kick-Off Weekend. I know the guys wanted to advance, so it was great to go ahead and get that win out of the way.
What he saw in doubles today…
One of the only things I didn't like was in doubles after going up a break on a couple courts we gave it right back to them losing serve. With the way doubles in played with no-ad, one set to six you really have to take control of your serve. That made the match a little more complicated than it needed to be. Our guys are really good returners and defend well. We just need to tighten up our serve game in the doubles.
On Jackson Withrow's match today…
One of the things that make Jackson such a tough match up for others is his experience and he got another chance to play in college after getting a waiver this season. Jackson has variations in his game, he can come in and stay back. He is going to be a tough guy to keep out of the lineup with all of his experience and I thought he played a great match today.
On tomorrow's match against Boise…
Boise will free and go for a bunch of winners. Greg Patton is a great coach, he has been there a long time. His teams are very well coached and very energetic. I expect a great match and a real emotional battle tomorrow.
