Danielle Adams Named NJCAA Women's Basketball Hall of Fame Inductee

Danielle Adams, who starred for the Texas A&M women's basketball team from 2009-11, was named to the National Junior College Athletic Association Women's Basketball Coaches' Hall of Fame on Monday. Prior to Texas A&M, Adams played at Jefferson (Mo.) College from 2007-09.
At Texas A&M, Adams was Most Outstanding Player of the 2011 Women's Final Four, leading the Aggies to the 2011 National Title. Adams was a First Team All-American in 2010-11, and averaged 22.3 points and 8.5 rebounds as a senior.
Adams helped Jefferson College to a 66-4 record while in junior college, and was NJCAA player of the year in 2008-09, averaging 22.1 points and 2.8 blocks per game.
Adams, who now plays for the San Antonio Stars of the WNBA, was drafted 20th by San Antonio in 2011, and played in the 2011 WNBA All-Star Game.
She enters the NJCAA Women's Basketball Hall of Fame this year along with former Kalamazoo Valley (Mich.) head coach Ronald Welch and former Lake Region State (N.D.) head coach Duane Schwab.
