HOOVER, Ala.- No. 25 Texas A&M finished fourth in the 2016 SEC Women's Golf Championship, finishing in the top four for the second consecutive season. The Aggies' Sunday was led by 1-under 71s by both Maddie Szeryk and Bianca Fabrizio.
The Aggies finished with an 884 (+24) in a tournament that featured four Top 10 teams and a total of six Top 25 teams taking to the par 72 / 6195 yard Legacy Course at the Greystone Golf & Country Club. A&M's 54-hole total was the third best conference championship score in A&M history.
"We played our hearts out today, but it just wasn't quite enough to keep up with the leaders," said Texas A&M head coach Trelle McCombs. "This is a national championship-caliber field, and any time you can finish in the Top 5 in a field this strong, you should hold your head high."
