Szeryk Shoots 75 In Third Round Of LPGA Texas Shootout

IRVING, Texas- Texas A&M sophomore Maddie Szeryk made the 36 hole cut and shot a 4-over 75 in the third round of the LPGA Volunteers of America Texas Shootout on Saturday. Szeryk's 5-over score for the tournament misses the 54-hole cut.
Szeryk had five birdies on the par 71 / 6,462 yard Las Colinas Country Club in the third round, but had five over par holes to finish 4-over for the day. Szeryk's tournament ends with a 215 (+5) score, shooting 73-70-75 in the tournament.
Szeryk was playing in an LPGA event for the third time in her career, and made the 36-hole cut for the first time. The Volunteers of America Texas Shootout uses a special format that includes a 54-hole cut of the top 50 players and ties.
Szeryk, and the No. 23 Texas A&M women's golf team, tees it up in the NCAA Bryan Regional at Traditions Club from May 5-7.
