Texas A&M teammates set Mexican national record

MANSFIELD, Texas – Four Texas A&M swimming teammates combined to break a Mexican national record in the 400-meter medley relay last weekend at the 2016 Senior Circuit Championships at the Mansfield ISD Natatorium.
The foursome of senior Juan Rocha, junior Mauro Castillo and sophomores Mateo Gonzalez and Angel Martinez set Mexico's long course meters (LCM) record with a time of 3:41.93. Rocha opened with a 56.54 backstroke split, following by Castillo's 1:01.05 breaststroke leg, Gonzalez's 53.34 butterfly leg and Martinez's 51.00 freestyle split.
