More preseason honors for Texas A&M’s Garrett, Knight

Texas A&M football standouts Myles Garrett and Trevor Knight were named to the 2016 preseason watch lists for a pair of prestigious national awards.
Garrett, a junior from Arlington, Texas, was named to the Ted Hendricks Award, which is given annually to college football's premier defensive end. The honor was Garrett's fourth appearance on a national award watch list, having previously been named to the Bednarik Award, Nagurski Trophy and Walter Camp Player of the Year Award.
Knight, a graduate transfer from San Antonio, Texas via the University of Oklahoma, was honored by the Johnny Unitas Golden Arm Award, which is given annually to college football's top senior quarterback based on character, citizenship, scholastic achievement, leadership qualities and athletic accomplishments.
