EAST MEADOW, N.Y. --- The Texas A&M women's swimming and diving team continued its dominance of the relay events with another win on Saturday at the 2017 U.S. Open Championships at the Nassau County Aquatics Center.
The Texas A&M foursome of junior Lisa Bratton, junior Jorie Caneta, freshman Raena Eldridge and sophomore Claire Rasmus combined to win the 400-meter medley relay in a time of 4:05.95, which was more than a second faster than the second-place finishers. The Texas A&M women's squad was undefeated in relays at the 2017 U.S. Open with previous wins in the 400 free and 800 free relays.
After four days of action in New York, the Aggie women are well on their way to defending their 2016 team title at the U.S. Open. The Aggies have scored 307 points, which nearly doubles the point total of second-place Kentucky (175). Rounding out the top three teams was Missouri with 163 points.

- The Aggies' "B" 400 medley relay of freshman Sara Metzsch, junior Kristin Malone, freshman Golf Sapainchai and freshman Katie Portz placed ninth in 4:14.77.
- In the women's 200 free, Rasmus and Portz took third and fourth, respectively, with Rasmus finishing in 2:00.49 and Portz right behind in 2:00.51. Freshman Karling Hemstreet placed 23rd in the C final in 2:04.68.
- 2017 SEC Champion Jorie Caneta placed third in the 100 breaststroke in a time of 1:08.66.
- Bratton placed third in the 100 backstroke in 1:00.63.
