
Christina Amo Named Director of Operations for Tennis

COLLEGE STATION, Texas – Christina Amo has been named the director of operations for the Texas A&M tennis programs, Aggie men's head coach Steve Denton and women's head coach Mark Weaver announced.
Amo, Texas A&M Class of 2010 and a former member of the Aggie women's tennis team, will be responsible for assisting the tennis programs with all administrative duties, including scheduling of meets and facilities, team travel arrangements, film exchange and meet management.
The Fort Worth, Texas, native was previously employed by the City of Corpus Christi Parks and Recreation Department.
Amo attended North Crowley High School, where she was named to the girl's tennis all-district first team in both singles and doubles and also was the district MVP. After high school, she attended Texas State for a year and led the Bobcats in wins in dual matches. She transferred to Texas A&M following her freshman year and became a three-year letterwinner on the Aggie women's tennis team from 2008-10. Amo was 15-9 in singles during her A&M career, and the team competed in the NCAA Tournament all three years.
Amo earned two degrees from Texas A&M, a Bachelor of Science degree in psychology in 2010 and a Master of Science degree in kinesiology in 2016.
