SCORING SUMMARY
T3 | Alabama got a leadoff double by Keith Holcombe and he moved to third on a sacrifice bunt by Jett Manning. After Holcombe scored on a groundout to short by Matt Malkin, the Crimson Tide loaded the bases with two walks sandwiched around an error by Aggie third baseman Janca on a sky ball over the pitcher's mound. Hunter Alexander made the Maroon & White pay for the miscue, threading a 2-1 offering through the left side of the infield for a two-run single. UA 3, A&M 0.
B3 | Blake sent a frozen rope to rightfield for a leadoff single and was replaced at first by Michael Helman who hit a fielder's choice grounder to short. Logan Foster followed with a 392-foot shot over the fence in left-center for his seventh home run of the season. UA 3, A&M 2.
B4 | The Aggies claimed their first lead with two runs in the fourth. Bedford hit a ground-rule double that hopped the short fence down the rightfield line to start the frame. After Zach DeLoach lined out on a laser to second base, Bedford moved to third on a wild pitch. With the infield drawn in, Janca hit a sky ball into the expanded no man's land in centerfield for a double, knocking in Bedford. Janca moved to third on a grounder to short by Blake and came around to score when Helman pushed a perfect bunt down the third base line. A&M 4, UA 3.
T6 | The Crimson Tide regained the lead with a three-run frame. Chandler Taylor drew a six-pitch walk to start the frame and Sam Praytor gapped a double to left-center putting two in scoring position and driving Doxakis from the contest. Kaylor Chafin entered the game and struck out the first batter he faced, but Manning grounded to short, tying the game, and Malkin followed with a two-run home run to leftfield. UA 6, A&M 4.
B6 | Bedford lofted an 0-1 offering over the leftfield fence for a leadoff home run. UA 6, A&M 5.

B8 | Janca started the cavalcade of runs in the eghth with a single to left-center. Blake pushed him to second with a sacrifice bunt. Helman and Foster each drew walks to fill the bags with Ags. Shewmake chipped a two-run single down the rightfield line and Hunter Coleman followed with a single to leftfield to knock in Fister. Texas A&M Quotes
Head Coach Rob Childress
On the win tonight…
"Certainly a hard fought win. (John) Dox(akis) wasn't incredibly sharp early, being shorted a day, but I thought he competed really well. Maybe his best inning was his fifth inning, and probably tried to get a little too greedy running out for the sixth. But Sherrod came in and gave us a hold. From an offensive standpoint, from the third inning on we were pretty special. Alabama's got some physicality to them up and down the lineup, and we were very, very fortunate to win tonight against a very good team."
On whether he expected the 12-6 score line with the windy conditions…
"No, but I think coming into the day today with the weather, when you're a baseball coach you knew that there was going to be some offense available tonight. It was exactly what I thought it would be. I didn't think it would be 18 runs, but I didn't think it was going to be a 2-1 game either."
