TEXAS A&M QUOTES
Head Coach Rob Childress
On pitching and tonight's win…
"The guys on the mound tonight all attacked the strike zone and looked prepared. We took them out of the game early offensively, Chandler Morris with the big grand slam, and we didn't look back offensively. The thing I was most proud of is what we did on the mound. We didn't create innings for them. We made them earn everything they got. All eight guys up there tonight pitched at a very high level."
On scoring 18 runs…
"Well, we've got some guys injured, banged up. We've got other guys in the lineup and those guys have been prepared. Chandler Morris and Allonte Wingate have done a great job. Aaron Walters has done a great job, too. Getting prepared each and every day for when their name's called. Real proud of those guys."
Junior Utility Player Chandler Morris
On his first-inning grand slam…
"I know I got a good swing-off. Everyone in front of me was able to set it up for me to be able to get the swing-off. When I hit it, I was just hoping."
Junior INF George Janca
On his approach…
"I think it's a process. It's all about putting good at bats together on a daily basis and don't look back. Continually, look forward and getting better each day."
