No. 4 Texas A&M hosts No. 2 SMU Saturday

COLLEGE STATION –No. 4 Texas A&M Equestrian hosts No. 2 SMU in an 11 a.m. meet Saturday at the Hildebrand Equine Complex. Admission to the meet is free.
The Aggies (5-2, 1-2 SEC) opened the spring semester with a dominating 14-5 victory at South Dakota State in which the Maroon & White won all four events and swept Most Outstanding Player honors.
Rebekah Chenelle leads the Hunter Seat squad with 11 combined victories including five in Equitation on the Flat and a team-high six wins in Equitation over Fences. Rhian Murphy and Caroline Dance have each added four victories in Flat.
In Horsemanship, Sarah Orsak is 6-0-1, while Alex Albright, Katie Conklin and Ashley Davidson have recorded four wins. Darby Gardner, Marissa Harrell and Courtney Yohey lead the Reining squad with three victories apiece.
SMU, who is competing for the first time this spring, enters the meet with a 6-0 record on the season. The Mustangs recorded victories against South Carolina, Georgia, Fresno State, TCU, Sweet Briar and Delaware State.
