
Antoine Wright Named Allstate SEC Legend

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Texas A&M's Antoine Wright was featured among former greats from all 14 Southeastern Conference member institutions as the 2019 class of Allstate SEC Basketball Legends was revealed Friday morning. The group will be honored at the SEC Men's Basketball Tournament March 13-17 at Bridgestone Arena in Nashville, Tennessee.
Each SEC Basketball Legend will be recognized at halftime of his institution's first game at the tournament. This marks the 21st year of the SEC Basketball Legends program.
Wright attended Texas A&M from 2002-05, playing three season for the Aggies before entering the 2005 NBA Draft. He was the 15th pick in the 2005 NBA Draft by the New Jersey Nets and remains as the second-highest drafted player in Texas A&M history.
A native of San Bernardino, California, Wright currently ranks 13th all-time in the Aggie career record books in scoring (1,338), fourth in threes made (181) and eighth in 3FG percentage (.376). He was a Honorable Mention All-American (SI.com) in 2005, three-time All-Big 12 honoree, three-time NABC All-District honoree, two-time USBWA all-district honoree and 2003 Big 12 Freshman of the Year.
