Aggies Clinch Road Series at Kentucky with 9-3 Win

Lacy (5-0) earned the win with a stellar effort on the mound. He racked up a career-high 13 strikeouts, including six in a row over the course of the fourth and fifth innings. He allowed one run on three hits and three walks over 6.0 innings. Jozwiak worked 3.0 innings of relief to pick up the save and give the remainder of the bullpen the day off. He yielded two runs, one earned, on two hits while striking out four.
Bryce Blaum reached base in all five of his plate appearances. He batted 4-for-4 with one triple, one hit-by-pitch, three runs and one RBI. Braden Shewmake knocked in four runs, batting 2-for-5 with one home run. For the weekend, Shewmake is 5-for-10 with two home runs and seven RBI. Will Frizzell batted 2-for-4 with one double, one home run, two runs and two RBI. Mikey Hoehner logged his first Aggie home run with his two-run dinger in the fifth inning.
The Aggies ran their win streak to five games, improving to 20-5 overall and 4-1 in the SEC. Kentucky dropped to 14-9 overall and 0-5 in league play.

T1 | Blaum hit a wall-banger to left-center on the first pitch of the game for a triple. With one out, Shewmake stroked a single to leftfield, knocking in Blaum. A&M 1, UK 0.
B1 | Austin Schultz drew a four-pitch walk to start the game and he stole second base on T.J. Collett's swing-and-miss for strike three and the second out. Jera Shelby pushed Schultz across with a single up the middle. A&M 1, UK 1.
T2 | With two outs, Logan Foster reached base on a fielding error by the Wildcats' third baseman Breydon Daniel. Foster moved to second on a single to leftfield by Aaron Walters and scored when Blaum slapped a single to rightfield. A&M 2, UK 1.
T4 | With one out, Blaum punched a single down the leftfield and he scored with two outs when Shewmake blasted a first-pitch offering over the rightfield fence for his second dinger of the series. A&M 4, UK 1.
T5 | Ty Coleman bounced a single down the first base line and scooted around to third when the ball was misplayed by rightfielder Shelby. Will Frizzell drove a double over the centerfielder to plate Coleman and Mikey Hoehner deposited a 1-0 offering over the leftfield fence for his first Aggie home run. A&M 7, UK 1.
T7 | Frizzell launched a 0-1 offering over the rightfield fence for a leadoff home run. A&M 8, UK 1.
B7 | After Jozwiak struck out a pair to start the frame, Elliott Curtis hit a lazy fly ball that hit the top of the fence near the 320 sign down the rightfield line for a solo home run. Austin Schultz followed with a double to rightfield and he came around to score on a throwing error by the Aggie shortstop. A&M 8, UK 3.
T8 | Blaum was hit by a pitch to start the frame and Cam Blake gapped a double to left-center to put two runners in scoring position. Shewmake pushed Blaum across with a groundout to second base. A&M 9, UK 3.
