Men’s Tennis Dominates Day One of the LSU Invitational

BATON ROUGE, La. – Texas A&M men's tennis celebrated the first day of the LSU Invitational with a strong showing in singles at the LSU Tennis Complex on Friday. The Aggies logged 12 wins overall, featuring nine in singles and three in doubles.
A&M started the day in the doubles competition, where Valentin Vacherot and Noah Schachter registered an 8-5 victory over Arkansas' pair of Avery Zavala and Melvin Manuel. Hady Habib and Stefan Storch posted an 8-2 result against Alex Reco and Nico Rousset of Arkansas. Guido Marson and Pierce Rollins notched an 8-6 win over Alberto Colas and Gregor Ramskogler from Mississippi State.
In singles, Taylor took down two opponents while Aguilar, Storch, Schachter, Habib, Marson, and Rollins each garnered one win on the day. Freshman Perot solidified his first victory in the Maroon & White with a win over LSU's Hohmann.
Tournament action from the LSU Tennis Complex continues Saturday at 9 a.m. with two rounds of doubles play followed by the semifinals in the singles competition.
