Aggies to Conclude Fall Slate Against Rice

HOUSTON, Texas – The No. 25 women's swimming and diving team will travel to Houston to compete against Rice in their last meet of the semester. The meet will begin at noon on Saturday at the Rice Aquatics Center Natatorium.
At their last meeting with the Owls, the Maroon & White dominated, with top finishes in 12 of the 14 events. Sophomore Chloe Stepanek claimed three first-place finishes and helped the 200 medley relay team to a first-place finish as well. Sophomores Charlotte Longbottom and Emme Nelson added top performances a season ago, taking first in the 100 breast and 200 breast, respectively.
The Aggies are returning to the pool after hosting the annual Art Adamson Invitational, finishing in second. Stepanek claimed three B-cut times in the 100, 200 and 500 freestyle events, boasting top-25 times nationally in the 200 and 500 free.
Sophomore Bobbi Kennett finished fifth in the 100 free, clocking a B-cut time of 49.44. Sophomore Olivia Theall secured a top-three finish in the 200 fly with an NCAA qualifying time of 1:58.23. Aviv Barzelay earned her first B-cut time of 1:55.93 in the 200 back to take third in the event.
