What to Watch For
- The Aggies have never dropped a game to New Mexico through four previous meetings and are a perfect 12-0 all-time against current members of the Mountain West Conference.
- A&M will be seeking its first 3-0 start of the Jimbo Fisher era at Texas A&M, and the team’s first 3-0 start since winning the first six games of the 2016 season.
- The Aggies will be looking for their 11th straight win which would be the program’s longest winning streak in 29 years (12 in 1992).
- Junior RB Isaiah Spiller recorded the first receiving touchdown of his career, when he hauled in the 18-yard toss late in the fourth quarter to give A&M the lead.
- Against the Golden Flashes, Spiller became the 21st Aggie to pass the 2,000-yard mark, and has upped his career total to 2,115 yards on the ground through two games.
- Junior TE Jalen Wydermyer’s 12 career touchdown catches are the most by a tight end at A&M, and his next TD reception will move him into the top 10 among all players in program history.
- Junior WR Ainias Smith needs 69 receiving yards to hit the 1,000-yard plateau and is 120 all-purpose yards away from 2,000 for his career ... Two touchdowns will move Smith into the top 10 on A&M’s all-time career receiving TDs list.
- Graduate DB Myles Jones cracked the top 10 on A&M’s and the SEC’s career passes defended lists last season, sitting at 10th alltime at A&M and eighth in SEC history with 28 breakups to-date.

Quick Hits
- In the season opener, A&M’s triple threat of sophomore RB Devon Achane, junior RB Isaiah Spiller and junior WR Ainias Smith gave the Aggies two 100-yard rushers and one 100-yard receiver in a game for the first time since 2017 when Kellen Mond (109 rush), Keith Ford (102 rush) and Christian Kirk (110 receiving) did the deed against Arkansas.
- The Aggies earned their 10th consecutive victory after topping Colorado on the road, which ties them for the second-longest active win streak in the FBS.
- Senior DL Jayden Peevy and sophomore DB Antonio Johnson led a strong defensive effort by the Aggies against Colorado, both hitting career highs in tackles with seven and nine, respectively ... Johnson also broke up a pair of passes, while Peevy, who was named SEC Defensive Lineman of the Week, recorded the first pick of his career and forced a loss of yards on two of his takedowns.
- After limiting Colorado to just 54 yards of total offense in the second half and seven points on the day, A&M currently ranks third nationally in passing defense and is tied for fifth in scoring defense.
- Quick starts have been a harbinger of Aggie victories in the Jimbo Fisher era ... The Aggies are 20-4 when scoring first and a perfect 19-0 when leading after the first quarter.
- A&M had one of its most impressive seasons in program history in 2020, making its first appearance in a New Year’s 6 bowl game and boasting a No. 4 ranking in both the AP and Coaches polls by season’s end.
- The defending Orange Bowl Champs posted a 9-1 mark on the year for the highest winning percentage (.900) since going undefeated (10-0-1, .955) in 1994.

Milestone Watch
- Junior RB Isaiah Spiller needs 54 rushing yards to move into 17th on A&M’s all-time career list and will pass Johnny Manziel.
- Junior TE Jalen Wydermyer needs one touchdown reception to move into the top 10 on A&M’s career receiving TD’s list ... Wydermyer’s 12 career touchdown grabs are already a school record among tight ends.
- Junior WR Ainias Smith needs 69 receiving yards to hit the 1,000-yard plateau and is 120 allpurpose yards away from 2,000 for his career ... Two touchdowns will move Smith into the top 10 on A&M’s all-time career receiving TDs list.
- Graduate DB Myles Jones is climbing A&M’s career pass breakups list with 28 to-date, and needs just one PBU to move into a tie for eighth all-time with Dustin Harris (09-12) and Sammy Davis (99-02) ... Jones’ PBU career total is also good for eighth on the SEC’s all-time list.
- Senior PLK Seth Small needs 11 points to become the fifth Aggie and fourth placekicker to score 300-or-more points in a career.
