
No. 16 Texas A&M Hosts Rice in Dual Meet

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 16 Texas A&M women's swimming & diving team is set to compete against Rice in its last meet of the fall semester. The meet will begin at 2 p.m. Saturday inside the Rec Center Natatorium.
The Aggies return to the pool after hosting the annual Art Adamson Invitational, finishing third overall with a total of 667 points. The team had 55 personal best times from swimmers including Giulia Goerigk swimming a time of 4:05.75 in the 400 IM, tabbed the seventh fastest in program history and second best in the nation this season.
Four Aggies hold six of the top 25 times in the nation this season in their respective events including Chloe Stepanek, who leads the way for the Aggies in the freestyle events, boasting the third-fastest time in the nation in the 200 free (1:43.83). The Northport, New York, native also holds the ninth-best time in the 100 free as she swam to a 47.94 during the Art Adamson Invite.
Olivia Theall dominated the fly events at invite, earning second in the 100 (51.25) and 200 fly (1:54.81) to notch the seventh and ninth fastest times in the nation, respectively.
Aviv Barzelay notched the 22nd fastest time in the nation after clocking a 200 back time of 1:54.56.
The Maroon & White claimed the top spot in 10 of the 14 events the last time they were at odds with the Owls.
