Kyle Field, Miller Honored by National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security

HATTIESBURG, Miss. – Texas A&M's venerable Kyle Field and long-time game manager Steve Miller were honored by the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4).
Kyle Field, home of the Texas A&M football team since 1905, was named a "Facility of Merit for Safety and Security," which recognizes a facility that has performed above and beyond normal operations to demonstrate an innovative approach to enhancing safety and security. Other facilities being honored were: Madison Square Garden, MLB at Field of Dreams Ballpark, William Ball Stadium – Eustis Field, M&T Bank Stadium and the AJC Peachtree Road Race.
With a maximum capacity of 102,733, Kyle Field is the largest stadium in the state of Texas, as well as the Southeastern Conference. Kyle Field is the fourth-largest college football stadium in the United States.
Miller, who has been a part of Texas A&M Athletics since 1991, was honored as a "Friend of NCS4," which recognizes professionals whose contributions have been invaluable to the advancement of the Center. Miller oversees game management for all of Texas A&M's home contests, which includes coordinating everything from security, to officials, to many elements of guest experience. He also serves as the SEC Network Liaison, coordinating program scheduling for Texas A&M's produced content on SEC Network.
"The National Center plays such an important role in helping address the security risks we face in our sports venues," Miller said. "Their best practices and training programs in collaboration with TEEX, continue to educate and inform our industry. NCS4 has helped shaped our venue security success at Texas A&M. It is an honor to be named a Friend of NCS4."
