No. 4 Aggies Fall to No. 3 SMU in Raw Score, 1605.25-1561.5

DALLAS- The No. 4 Texas A&M equestrian fell to No. 3 SMU by raw score, 1605.25-1561.5, Thursday afternoon at the Dallas Equestrian Center.
The Aggies (3-1) remained undefeated in Fences on the season by starting off the meet with a 3-2 win over the Mustangs (2-1). Freshman Kate Egan led the way to win her first career Most Outstanding Performer honor with a score of 89. Also earning points for the Maroon & White were Ali Treuting and Alexa Leong.
In Horsemanship, Texas A&M picked up two more points as Cori Cansdale set a new season high with a score of 78 and improved her record to 3-1. Hanna Olaussen also added a point with a score of 76.5.
At the half, Texas A&M and SMU were all tied up at 5-5.
The Aggies would tie 2-2 in Flat as Devon Thomas and Brook Brombach would both earn points. Thomas continued her success this season winning by a score of 84-82. Brombach would score the highest total of the day with a score of 88.
Coming down to the final event, the two teams could not find any separation as they tied again 2-2 in Reining. Emmy-Lu Marsh earned a point with a score of 71, and Mattie Gustin would stay undefeated on the season winning her matchup 67-64.
