Women’s Golf to Compete at Prestigious East Lake Cup

JOHNS CREEK, Ga. - The Texas A&M women's golf team is set to compete in the prestigious ninth annual East Lake Cup at the Atlanta Athletic Club Oct. 30 - Nov. 1 with coverage of all three rounds set to be broadcast on the Golf Channel.
The field features the four teams that made it to the NCAA Semifinals last season, which includes the past two national champions Stanford (2022) and Wake Forest (2023), as well as USC who finished runner-up at nationals in 2023.
Head coach Gerrod Chadwell's lineup will be led by two-time All-American Jennie Park and Blanca Fernandez Garcia-Poggio who won the individual stroke-play championship of the East Lake Cup last year. In 2022, the Aggies won the stroke-play round and finished runner-up in match play.
Additionally, joining the lineup are Zoe Slaughter, Mia Nixon and Lana Calibuso-Kwee. Slaughter went 1-1 in match play in last season's edition of the East Lake Cup and tied for second in the stroke-play round. Nixon will be making her second-career start and Calibuso-Kwee will get her first start of the 2023-24 campaign. Nixon and Calibuso-Kwee will be getting their first match-play experiences of their careers.
Tournament Info
The tournament will start on Monday with 18 holes of stroke-play that will crown an individual champion and set seedings for match play. Tuesday features the semifinals with the two winners advancing to the championship match on Wednesday. A consolation match will also be played on Wednesday between to two teams that fell in the semifinals.

All three days of the tournament will be televised on Golf Channel from 2-5 p.m. Monday tees off at 9:30 a.m. and live stats for the East Lake Cup can be found at Golfstat.com.
