
A&M Set for Road Clash with South Carolina, Virginia Tech

COLUMBIA, S.C. – The Texas A&M men's swimming & diving team hits the road to face South Carolina and Virginia Tech at the Carolina Natatorium in Columbia, South Carolina, on Saturday, Oct. 7th at 9 a.m. CT.
The Aggies started the least last week with a big win over Incarnate Word, 198.5-100.5. Freshman Logan Brown made his college debut and finished first in the 100 breast clocking in at 55.20 and the 200 IM with a time of 1:51.05. Sophomore Baylor Nelson started off the season strong securing first in both the 1,000 free (9:12.37) and the 100 fly (48.40). Texas A&M was successful on the relays as the Maroon & White touched the wall first in both the 200 medley and the 400 free relays.
All five members of the men's diving team qualified for NCAA Zones on both springboards. Highlighting the opener were SEC Men's Diver of the Week Allen Bottego, who placed first on the 1-meter with a personal-best score of 410.93, and Victor Povzner, who scored a 453.68 on the 3-meter to take first.
Following the meet, the men's swimming & diving team will return to Bryan-College Station for an SEC match up against Tennessee in the Rec Center Natatorium Friday, Oct. 27th.
