Texas A&M Hosts a Pair of Top-25 Opponents

BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION, Texas – The No. 13 Texas A&M men's swimming & diving team continues its homestand taking on No. 23 Georgia Tech and No. 7 Texas at the Rec Center Natatorium Friday, Nov. 3, at 3 p.m.
Texas A&M is coming off a big upset after taking down No. 6 Tennessee in a home dual meet, 171.5-111.5 a week ago.
Baylor Nelson and Logan Brown keep building on early success. Nelson contributed to the 200 medley teams first-place finish and took the top spot in the 200 free (1:36.41), 200 back (1:45.48), and the 400 IM (3:49.99). Brown touched the wall first, shaving time off both his season-bests in the 100 breast (55.16) and 200 breast (1:59.61).
Trey Dickey highlighted the distance events, swimming his season best in the 500 free with a time of 4:25.99 and took second in the 1000 free with a 9:11.59
The men's diving team will only take on Georgia Tech and is led by three-time SEC Male Diver of the Week, Allen Bottego. Bottego posted the highest score on the 3-meter with a 369.45 and took second on the 1-meter (390.75) behind Victor Povzner who scored a season best 421.58.
Both Texas and Georgia Tech are looking to get back into the win column. Last time out, Texas was defeated by No. 15 Virginia and Georgia Tech was topped by Florida State.
Saturday the Aggies take on Georgia Tech in a long course meet that will be unscored. The action begins at 10 a.m. in the Rec Center Natatorium.
