Patil and Silva Claim Last Wins at the Big 12 – SEC Challenge

WACO – Texas A&M redshirt freshman Ritesh Patil shined as he went 2-0 in play on Sunday at the Big 12-SEC Challenge with both a win in singles and doubles with sophomore partner Ethan Silva.
Patil/Silva opened the morning with a hard-fought win over Zoran Ludoski/Filip Gustafsson of Arizona, 8-7 (4).
Graduate Matthis Ross and senior Giulio Perego came up short against doubles duo Inaki Cabrera-Bello/Casper Christensen of Arizona, 8-6.
Patil finished the weekend with a three-set battle as he logged his first collegiate singles win against Thomas Gadecki of Oklahoma State, 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
No. 93 ranked Perego faced No. 100 ranked Derek Pham of OSU, coming up short, 6-4, 6-4. Ross fell to Alessio Basile of OSU 7-6 (0), 6-3. Silva went down against Ian Bracks of OSU, 6-4, 7-5.
The Aggies can next be seen competing in the ITA Texas Regional from Oct. 17-22.
