In the fifth, the Aggies broke through on the scoreboard behind a trio of RBI singles from Montgomery, Ted Burton and Appel as they took a 3-1 advantage.
After the Trojans cut into the lead with an RBI single in the sixth, Ol' Sarges' charges responded with a pair in the seventh to stretch the advantage to 5-2. Montgomery and Schott opened the frame with back-to-back singles and later came around to score on a balk and sacrifice fly, respectively.
The Aggies broke the game open in the eighth as three more runs came across to score to push the lead to 8-2. In the frame, Jace LaViolette plated a run with his second triple of the season and later scored on a Montgomery RBI single. Montgomery went on to score the final run of the inning on a bases-loaded RBI walk by Kaeden Kent.
Grahovac added the final run of the afternoon for the Aggies in the ninth as the freshman lifted a solo home run over the left field wall. The long ball marked the second of the year for the freshman.
