No. 10 Men’s Tennis Continues Road Trip at No. 22 Oklahoma
Apr 01, 2024 | Men's Tennis
NORMAN – The No. 10 Texas A&M men's tennis team stays on the road to take on the No. 22 Oklahoma Sooners Tuesday, April 2, at the Headington Family Tennis Center with first serve set for 6 p.m.
"Oklahoma is going to be a tough one," head coach Steve Denton said. "We have struggled here in the past, but we have been in a lot of battles thus far this season. Hopefully we can draw on those experiences this year to be mentally and physically ready to compete against them."
The Aggies (18-5, 7-2 SEC) are coming off a victory over LSU where they defeated the Tigers, 5-2, in Baton Rouge. The match was highlighted by two doubles matches that went down to the wire and both went A&M's way to surge a spark going into singles play. The team is led by two-time SEC Player of the Week JC Roddick and Raphael Perot who is on a four-match winning streak on Court 1.
The Maroon & White won the last matchup against Oklahoma (16-2, 4-0 Big 12), 5-2, in Aggieland during the 2022-2023 campaign. The Sooners are coming off a win against UCF and are 10-0 at home this season.
