No. 12 Texas A&M Continues SEC Action at No. 13 Alabama

TUSCALOOSA – The No. 12 Texas A&M softball team faces No. 13 Alabama in an SEC series beginning Saturday at 11:30 a.m. on ESPN2 at Rhoads Stadium.
The three-game set continues Sunday at 3:30 p.m. on ESPN2, followed by the series finale Monday night at 6 p.m. on SEC Network. Beth Mowins (play-by-play) and Michele Smith (analyst) are on call each game. All Aggie softball games can be heard on the 12th Man Mobile app or locally on Gospel 97.3 with Matt Simon as the play-by-play voice in his 10th season with Texas A&M softball.
TWO-OUT TERROR
Texas A&M (31-8, SEC 10-5) has terrorized opponents with two-outs batting .337 and 109 RBI, both ranking second in the SEC. Allie Enright leads the team in two-out RBI with 23, followed by Jazmine Hill driving in 16 runs. Hill leads the Aggies in two-out batting average at .471 and Enright second hitting .413. The Aggies have scored 47% (115-of-245) of their runs with two outs, including 23 home runs with Enright leading the team with six two-out round trippers. Texas A&M leads the SEC in league play with 42 two-out RBI and have scored 65% (46-of-71) of its runs with two outs. Most recently, the Aggies tallied eight two-out runs in the first two innings to clinch the series over Kentucky. In the series finale against Auburn, the Aggies scored 12 runs on two-outs in the 14-6 run-rule victory to complete the sweep in the series at home.

The Aggies jumped out to an all-time program best 8-1 start in SEC action, while winning the first three series for the first time since 2017. The 10-5 record is the second-best start through 15 games in SEC action following the 2017 squad that started 12-3. The Maroon & White attack early and often hitting .342 at the dish, while scoring 55% (135-of-245) of their run production in the first three innings. The Aggies are 25-3 this season when leading after four innings and 54-4 with a lead after four in the Trisha Ford era.
AGGIES IN THE OUTFIELD
Outfielders Allie Enright, Kramer Eschete and Jazmine Hill have a combined .982 fielding percentage and have recently showcased their arm strength nabbing runners down as Hill leads the trio with six outfield assists, followed by Enright with three and Eschete with two. The dynamic duo of Hill and Enright have provided the offensive firepower leading the Aggies with eight doubles and are second on the team with eight home runs each. The pair are top two on the team in OPS as Hill boasts a 1.266 OPS and Enright a 1.199 OPS. Eschete leads the Maroon & White in SEC play batting .361 at the dish and is second in hits (13), doubles (3) and stolen bases (4).
