BATON ROUGE – The No. 14 Texas A&M men's tennis team fell to the LSU Tigers, 4-3, Thursday in the second round of the SEC Tournament at the LSU Tennis Complex.

JC Roddick/Lathan Skrobarcek dominated Ben Koch/Stefan Latinovic on court 2, 6-2. Clinching the doubles point for the Aggies (18-10, 7-5 SEC) was No. 16 Giulio Perego/Togan Tokac in a thriller over No. 59 Chen Dong/Julien Penzlin on court 1, 7-6 (7-5) that ended with a Tokac ace.

LSU (15-12, 1-11 SEC) responded with wins on courts 3 and 4 to make the score 2-1. However, No. 24 Raphael Perot tied it up for the Maroon & White with a victory over Latinovic on court 1 (6-4, 6-4). Tiago Pires continued that momentum and got the lead back for A&M, taking down Chen Dong on court 5 (6-4, 6-4). LSU evened the match at 3-3 with a win on court 6, and then clinched the quarterfinal berth after a back-and-forth match on court 2.

Next up, A&M will learn its regional assignment at the NCAA Selection Show on April 29 at 5 p.m.
