No. 8 Men’s Tennis to Host Arkansas on Senior Day
Apr 06, 2024 | Men's Tennis
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – The No. 8 Texas A&M men's tennis team resumes conference play against the Arkansas Razorbacks, Sunday at the Mitchell Tennis Center with first serve set for 1 p.m.
"Very special day in honoring our senior, Raphael Perot," head coach Steve Denton said. "He has been a great captain and leader of our team. Hardest worker that plays every point with everything he has and is a real pleasure to watch. He is the fan favorite that everyone loves to watch and cheer on. His legacy he leaves behind will be one of maximum effort all the time. Definitely left this place better than when he arrived and had a huge impact on his teammates and coaches."
The Aggies (18-6, 7-2 SEC) are looking to bounce back after losing to No. 11 Oklahoma, 5-2, in Norman. The Maroon & White are led by two-time SEC Player of the Week JC Roddick who has 24 wins on the season and Raphael Perot who has seven ranked wins this year.
A&M won the last matchup against Arkansas (16-9, 3-6 SEC), 5-2, in Fayetteville during the 2022-2023 league slate. The Razorbacks are coming off a win against LSU and have three wins in league play.
