
Little, Williams Advance to Finals on Second Day of U.S. Olympic Team Trials

EUGENE – Former Texas A&M track & field standouts Will Williams and Shamier Little secured finals spots on the second day of the U.S. Olympic Team Trials Saturday at Hayward Field.
Williams punched the first finals spot of the day for the Aggies in the qualifying round of the men's long jump. He leaped 8.03m/26-4.25 on his final attempt to advance second overall to Monday's final.
Securing the Maroon & White's second ticket to finals was Little in the women's 400m semis, the all-time great finished second in her heat with a time of 50.16 which ensured her spot in Sunday's final.
The men's 100m duo of Fred Kerley and Ameer Webb continued the momentum, as both Aggies advanced to the semifinals. Kerley won the second heat with a time of 10.03, while Webb placed third in the fourth heat crossing the line in 10.19.

The Aggies return to Hayward Field tomorrow for day three of trials, where Timara Chapman, Shaina Burns and Annie Kunz open their heptathlon campaigns in the morning. Jacob Wooten is up next in the men's pole vault final, followed by Kerley and Webb in the 100m semifinals, Athing Mu, Sammy Watson and Kendra Chambers in the 800m semifinals, Bryce Deadmon and Jevon O'Bryant in the men's 400m semifinals and lastly Little in the 400m Final.
