Beyond Basketball Begins Year Three on October 9th
Aug 15, 2024 | Women's Basketball
BRYAN-COLLEGE STATION – Texas A&M women's basketball head coach Joni Taylor announced the schedule for the third year of Beyond Basketball Thursday, which is set to start on Wednesday, Oct. 9.
"I am very excited to start year three of Beyond Basketball in Aggieland," Taylor said. "The past two years have been incredible to watch our family grow and to see the impact that it has had on the Brazos Valley. I can't wait for our October meeting to see all of our members come back together for an amazing year."
Individuals can sign up for a full membership for $150 or purchase single-meeting tickets for $30 each. Membership includes access to meetings with guest speaker, as well as breakfast, a VIP card, Beyond Basketball apparel and more.
Beyond Basketball is an organization that Taylor began at the University of Georgia in 2015 and brought to Aggieland during the fall of 2022. It is a community and networking group of empowered women who strive to develop one another professionally, through mentoring relationships.
Its mission is to educate, support and connect women of all backgrounds by creating exceptional experiences that lead members to flourish in their respective professions, communities and overall lives.
Last year, Beyond Basketball had nearly 150 attendees per meeting, and had guest speakers such as Basketball Hall of Fame Curt Gowdy Media Award recipient Holly Rowe to come and speak to the Beyond Basketball family.
The 2024-25 schedule will feature meetings on the second Wednesday of every month at 8 a.m., beginning on Oct. 9 and ending on May 7.
